2013 Face Favorites

Olay Professional Pro-X facial cleansing system
Like many women in America at the moment, I have been lusting over the $200 Clarisonic Mia cleansing system.  However, I refuse to drop $200 on a facial cleansing brush!  My mom has been using this Olay Pro-X cleansing brush for three years now and absolutely adores it.  Since she has the most gorgeous skin ever, I decided to give it a go.  At $29.99, this brush is an amazing deal.  It comes with one cleansing brush attachment, the hand piece, and a small Pro-X facial cleanser to get you started.  Using any face wash, squirt a few dabs of product on top of the brush, wet the bristles, wet your face, and turn the cleansing system on.  Depending on your preference, there is a low speed rotation or a high speed rotation.  I can see the disgusting dirt from my face on the top of the brush bristles!  Not to mention it feels really nice.  I noticed within the first two uses that my uneven, bumpy skin imperfections were going away.  My face feels cleaner throughout the day and I have noticed that my face is less oily.  I am in looooove!

Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser + Scrub
I have been using this cleanser for years.  There are ribbons of micro-fine exfoliating beads, and ribbons of silky hydrating wash.  My face feels amazingly clean, smooth and refreshed after using this product, it smells nice, and it's reasonable in price.

Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream
Yes, I am 21 years old and use a firming cream.  Using this product right before you go to bed can help increase elasticity that is either lost from sun exposure, aging, or both, and definitely increases the moisture in your skin.  This product is so thick and creamy, you don't have to use much. Once your skin absorbs the cream, I noticed I don't feel oily or feel that I'm wearing any face lotion.  Great stuff.

 Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer
Aveeno has a great range of products, and I really fell in love with this one when I used it at my cousin's a few years ago.  I use this as my daily moisturizer since it has SPF, and helps brighten and correct your skin tone.  Whenever I apply my make-up after letting this lotion soak in, my complexion looks incredibly creamy and matte. Most major drugstores make their own copy cat version of this product and it works just as well!

Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask
Cheap and effective, there's no reason to purchase pricey face masks.  Depending on how oily your skin is, use this once to twice a week to draw out impurities, dirt and oil from your pores.  I love how it makes my skin feel so soft and look creamy.  Make sure you use a moisturizer afterwards, to avoid your skin from producing more natural oils to compensate for what the mask has drawn out.  Too much oil = breakout!

100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
After working all day, going to class, coming home and working on homework, I don't sleep as much as I'd like to.  I've noticed I am beginning to get circles under my eyes, and it is not an attractive look!  This eye cream is velvety and smells like a latte!  I noticed improvement in the texture and hue of my under eye skin within two to three days.

Ready to Wear Baked for Beauty Translucent Self Correcting Powder
This is another product my mom got me into.  I have extremely fair skin with pink undertones.  I have tried using a bronzer to make my skin glow, but I'm just too light that it's typically overpowering to wear one.  This powder is my absolute favorite.  It has several different shades to help correct your skin's flaws while giving you a healthy glow.  This is by far my favorite base to start my make-up routine with.  Using a large, fluffy kabuki brush, it takes me about one minute to achieve great looking skin.

Zia Threading eyebrow powder in medium dark brown
Having your eyebrows well taken care of makes a huge difference in your appearance.  I like to get mine threaded and darken them with a light dusting of eyebrow powder to make them more defined.

Physician's Formula Powder Palette in Blushing Rose
I love, love, love this color.  A little goes a long way.  One tin of blush lasts me about a year, sometimes longer.  Using a blush brush, I like to dust my cheek bones, and blend the color into my temples to make it appear natural.  Also, a quick swipe on your nose is a cute touch.
